We believe that stories are powerful and this is ours.
Farm-to-Table NB is a culinary experience host based in New Brunswick, Canada. We were officially founded in 2021, but our story dates back to 2016.
We offer monthly cooking classes, seasonal communal table dinners and slow-living workshops that focus on community building and feature locally-sourced ingredients from local farmers and markets.
Our story began when our founder, Chanelle, bravely stepped out to bring to life the vision she had for New Brunswick. She wanted to see the community of New-Brunswick come together to gather, share stories and honour the land we live on- by tracing back to the connection from the food growing on the farm, to how it makes its way to our tables.
Whether it’s our cooking classes, workshops or dining experiences, we strive to create safe spaces for people to gather, unwind, reconnect and walk away with unforgettable memories.
We want to build a community that encompasses slow living, going back to our roots and embodying ourselves in our culture and the wonderful things that New-Brunswick has to offer from local produce, food, artisans, and musicians.
As a female-led business we serve other change-making women and the greater New Brunswick community not only through our culinary experiences, but through our passion for story-telling and slow-living.
We support local farms and businesses by raising awareness on the value of organic farming, local ingredients and seasonal produce.
We use our platform and our academic background to educate our audience on nutrition and the benefit of intuitive eating. We also promote intentionality and slow-living for a happier, more balanced community.
In short, our approach to food, dining experiences and community-building is unlike anything else you’ll encounter.
If this sounds like your jam, check out our upcoming events and classes! We can’t wait to have you at our table!
OUR MISSION
We are on a mission to help the New Brunswick community reconnect with themselves, build relationships with each other and grow in appreciation for the land they live on.
WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO US
Meet Chanelle
Hi my name is Chanelle Belliveau and welcome all to my little sanctuary! Farm-to-Table NB has been a beautiful dream in the making since 2016 and I’m so grateful to be able to share it with you.
I was born and raised in Cap-Pele, NB, and I now call Dieppe, NB, home! I’m an entrepreneur, proud resident of the New Brunswick community, lover of slow-living and an avid seafood lover (I mean, how else could it be coming from a small fishing village???).
I started this business out of a deep desire to create awareness on slow-living and help my community slow down and reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
After studying holistic nutrition in 2015, I took my learnings and started offering cooking classes in my local community of St-Andre-LeBlanc. This came out of a need where our community was searching for easily accessible cooking classes (that didn’t require a 30 minute drive to the city!) and also as a personal desire to connect with others and share our experiences around food and life.
A few years later, I expanded to offer my cooking classes in the city- starting in Moncton, NB in 2017, and now I offer monthly classes in Dieppe, NB.
In the middle of it all, I felt like something was missing. I always knew that I wanted to make the connection between how food affects our body and how it’s being prepared, but I was missing the link of where our food came from. This is when I was fortunate enough to work a full season on a local farm- Ferme Alva, in St. Maurice, NB.
This experience truly opened my eyes to all the work that goes into farming and growing food for the community. I decided to put all my work experiences (and later on, added experiences in intuitive eating and culinary nutrition) to good use and start offering culinary experiences that gather people together around the table, while focusing on reconnecting with ourselves, others and the land we live on.
Everything I’ve been through up until this point has taught me that when it comes to your dreams, you are never going to feel truly ready so start anyway! Farm-to-Table NB is living proof of that and I am so grateful to be able to serve other women change-makers and the greater community of NB with these unique experiences.
I’d love to hear more about your story so get in touch with me and let’s be friends!
“I love her cooking classes so much. The friendships, the food and all my new cooking skills are owed to Chanelle. Her outdoor events are also unique and an amazing way to socialize/meet new people or even a perfect date night in a sophisticated atmosphere with amazing local food and wine pairings. Her events are a whole new vibe, and I’m here for it.”
